Organic Earl Grey Green Tea

Perhaps the most famous of all flavours in the world, Earl Grey, named after Earl Charles Grey, erstwhile Prime Minister of England in the 18th century, this tea has carved a huge following for itself globally.

While most Earl Grey teas around the world are made from black teas, Motley Brew’s twist on a classic features certified Organic Green whole leaf teas from the Korakundah estate in the Blue Mountains.

Only the finest oil from the peel of the Bergamot orange has been used to subtly flavour this exquisite tea grown amidst original Shola forests as old as mankind itself. These teas are certified as being the highest-grown anywhere in the world. We have also added shards of orange peel to enhance the flavour of the Bergamot further.

HOW TO BREW

1. Bring unfiltered water to a gentle boil to approximately 90 deg. Celsius (208 deg. Fah.).
2. Place 1 tsp. tea (2.5 gms approx.) per cup in a pre-heated teapot, and pour the water from above.
3. In case of several cups, add a tsp. extra for the pot.
4. Steep for 3-5 mins. as per taste.
5. Tastes best on its own.

COLD BREW

Cold Brew involves steeping the tea over a period of time to extract maximum flavours. By not adding hot water, it is said, one can extract the maximum benefits of tea.

1. Place tea in a ratio of 1 tbsp per glass, 220ml,
   preferably in a glass/porcelain jug
2.  Leave to steep in the refrigerator for 15-18 hrs as per taste.
3. Decant and pour over ice .

The many health benefits of green tea are common knowledge and publicly available. While a lot of research has been undertaken for its effect in neutralazing cancer causing free radicals, its obvious that its properties in promoting cardiovascular health are high.

In general, green teas are higher in catechins, a powerful natural antioxidant , which is known to slow down ailments like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
By ensuring that we use only certified green tea, we are only taking its healthy properties a notch higher by beingchemical free. Without milk and sugar added, it’s a zero calorie , restorative drink .
