All About

South Indian Filter Coffee

About South Indian Filter Coffee

Motley Brew’s take on the traditional South Indian Filter Coffee. We chose not to disturb the classic blend but just celebrate it with the best of coffee. Carefully selected single origin primary grade Arabica and Robusta washed coffees blend with a small amount of chicory to extract a melange of classical flavours. The quality of the raw material further amplifies the flavour profile of a traditional blend.

This blend is perfect for those who seek the familiar comfort of a South Indian filter coffee, well complemented with milk and a sweetener of choice.

HOW TO MAKE SOUTH INDIAN COFFEE
  • Invest in a South Indian Coffee Filter and a steel or brass tumbler and dabarah set.
  • Use 1 to 1.5 Tbsp. of filter coffee powder per cup.
  • Let the water percolate and slowly drip in the lower chamber of the filter.
  • Blend with water and milk, in a ratio depending upon personal choice, ideally all full-fat milk.
  • Add sugar/jaggery to taste.
  • Pour the coffee from a height from the tumbler into the dabarah and reverse the process.
  • The myriad air bubbles explode leading.
ENHANCE THE FLAVOUR
  • Roast Profile: Dark Roast
  • Brewing recommendation: South Indian Filter or Moka Pot
